There will always be someone or something lurking in your midst to attempt to steer you off track and more importantly to get you off of God's track. There is an abundance of negativity due to a lack of and poor visibility. But where we stand is by far and will take us much farther than if we were to never stand, more importantly, take a stand for someone or something that is representative and demonstrative of positivity, in the form of Heavenly.

"By Any Other Petal"

My eyes were the last to witness the true essence of an existence that denial claimed to not be true. But Jesus knew exactly when and where He would reveal what I needed to see, in order for me to garner better visibility.

You see the last will be first, and the first will be last. Glory be for delivering me from such an egregious past. But the past is exactly where it belongs and my heart knows Who it is, that I belong.

Discovery is the main ingredient for recovery! Worth repeating: Discovery, is the main ingredient, for Recovery!

The beauty extends beyond the beauty that is contained within, but the purpose of the exterior is to protect the beauty, that is contained within.

The petals that contribute to the beauty of a rose are not in denial regarding their reciprocated importance. Its last petal shall be the first petal. And the first petal shall be the last petal.

Irrespective of the position of the petals, "By Any Other Petal," it is still a rose and it knows, Who, it belongs to.

Visibility has never been so clear, in Jesus's time!

Talking to a friend of mine, he echoed sentiments that I concurred with at no less than 100%. That God will and does use you whether or not you know it or not. Taking it a step further, God will use you with or without your permission. Imagine God actually asking you to play a part in His already laid plan in order to carry out His Will. Such a question shall never arrive within your inbox. And there will be no need to check the junk mail folder because it will not be found there either.

Marinated in the truth.
Gated perimeter containing said truth.
Perched up high so that you can see the truth.

Now that the fear of heights has been conquered, it is high time to take it and me higher. Funny how we wind up being our very own obstacles and road blocks on our very own paths in Life. "You Cannot Scale What You Are Afraid to Climb!"

Exceedingly and abundantly confident that the mountains before me only serve as a preamble to the victory that is behind me.

If my destiny is perched high up that mountaintop, how would I have ever been victorious had I not conquered said fear of heights? "You Cannot Scale What You Are Afraid to Climb!"

If the top of that mountain brings me closer to Jesus, who is waiting to distribute my victory in the form of my purpose and my destiny, then hinder me not from climbing higher so that He can take me farther. "You Cannot Scale What You Are Afraid to Climb!"

And when I reach that mountaintop, allow me to bask in the glory of Christ, albeit temporary. So long as their is breath in my lungs, there is work to do, scaling what I was once afraid of, but no more, for "You Cannot Scale What You Are Afraid to Climb!"

The strength of the weakened is replenished by the source of strength of the strong. If energy never dies and it is just transferred, Pray for strength as your resources are called upon to make someone else strong or stronger in their attempt at defying the odds by plotting a path for themselves, forever altering the landscape of their existence that would include peripheral components that now Smile in the wake of your generosity.

Do not sleep or rest when an opportunity presents itself to make a change, orchestrate a change, facilitate a change or step out from the shadows and BE that change, that source, of that strength, that now Smiles.

Stepping up often translates to stepping out of your comfort zone into an area that might not seem palatable at first, but the most rewarding by way of nourishment for your heart and soul at best.

Growth is not obtained within your confined area. And strength is stronger than what you can muster. "Therein Lies Your Best, That is Yet to Come."

"Card for Mom"

On my lunch break, in the Hallmark store shopping for Christmas cards for my children and right next to their cards were the cards for Mothers. I picked up the first one and didn't even bother picking up anymore, for the message in that one, said it all.

Then I started thinking about the last time that I had the opportunity to buy My Mother a Christmas card. It was December 2006...that was the last time. I had no idea what would be in store, less than one year later.

I didn't relinquish my sanity into a heap of emotional hysterics, but it did take me back as I stood right in the middle of the aisle, reading the card and reminiscing on how I used to pick out Mother's cards. You see if it did not speak to me, then I knew that it would not speak to her. And I was able to discern that at first glance. My goal is to apply that same philosophical approach in all aspects of my Life.

Smile.

It is the little things such as card shopping in the Hallmark store at this time of year. But Glory Be To God, for I still have Loved ones to buy Christmas cards for. It might not be the same, but the Love is no less than and for that, I am grateful, STILL!

I shall always cherish the memories of my time in the Hallmark store looking for a Christmas "Card for Mom."

"Man Plans, But God Decides"

We were supposed to be departing Malaysia and did not have time to make three more quick stops to see so many more people. But low and behold, we found the time, made the time and I am forever grateful that we changed our minds.

We walked into their home and the first thing that you notice was the garland draped photo of this handsome young man, younger than I. Standing there were his two children. The eldest, his son, standing, bald cut, strong and brave for he was now the man of the house. His daughter, the baby, so eloquently beautiful, vastly unaware of the meaning of the outpouring of support for her Father. Then there was the children's Mother, his wife. A beautiful, but fragile frame, there to greet us in her home as they were mourning the loss of her husband, their Father and her son.

You see we had not the time to make these additional stops...."Man Plans, But God Decides" and I am so grateful that the Lord made the decision to alter my plans and lead me to this hurting family.

It was an honor to embrace them as My Mother was once embraced 27 years prior as she too was hurting and mourning the loss of her son, my brother, as I too, stood there, the man of the house, welcoming people into our home in order for them to pay their respects.

The Laws of Reciprocity dictated exactly where I needed to be, whom I needed to be with and my participation in the moment that could possibly positively alter or define someone else's Life at the crossroads, a point in their lives where such an impact needed to be made.

And there Jesus was, directing my path, to fulfil His purpose, by using my experience to demonstrate Love and compassion to a family that just lost so much in one fell swoop. This beautiful family has forever changed my Life and I shall always remember them, Pray for them and hold them near and dear to my heart, with every beat.

Such a strong woman sitting there mourning her son, cracking a Smile, shedding some tears, talking with me and allowing me to capture her likeness in all of her Motherly Glory. And if you know not the strength of a Mother's Love, it would behoove you to become "better" acquainted with it because it is very real, it never dies and it forever sustains you, bridging the gap in your absence by reminding those left behind of your presence.

And here she is, his Mother.

Beauty may indeed be in the eye of the beholder, but be extremely cautious about how you judge something that looks different on the outside. For you never know what could be contained beyond the exterior that winds up beautifully accentuating what you once viewed and judged because of its external attributes.

The exterior may indeed be a defense mechanism to ward off the things that are not worthy of the beauty contained within due to superficial judgement.

So, when you view what you see, look beyond and within in order to appreciate all that it has to offer. You never know what you might be missing out on.

Not necessarily the path of least resistance, but if the fruit is out on the limb, then the limb is where you shall find me.

I know my purpose, I feel my passion and I dwell, reside and act upon it just as I have been purposed to do.

That road that I travel upon, gravel or paved, is the path that represents the past in the form of what is now before me by way of the present and ultimate future.

I live to give and deplete my resources so that the Lord can replenish to allow me to deplete yet again, by way of living and giving.

I author my Life and publish my experiences in order to encourage others to rise and exercise the passion within the purpose in which they live.

Arms stretched wide, ready to embrace what is to embrace me in accordance to the path that the Lord has set for me.

Some of these things, some of the people and even the places that I would not have otherwise come in contact with have all contributed to the construction of my Life's path.

I abandoned the naivete of my 20's, departed the experience riddled 30's and now embrace the revealed brilliance of my 40's. New beginnings draw closure to old endings, that give way to even newer beginnings.

Blessed, I have been chosen to witness a new decade within my Lifetime and to partake in the next chapter of a Life that did not have to be, but glory be!

The promises for the future have already come to fruition since just yesterday is a representation of a past that now resides behind me.
