"Meaningless Distractions"

Traversing through our daily grind the distractions are plentiful. Some are of the innocent, benign nature while others are stage 4 malignant. Distracters infiltrate with their distractions in hopes of obtaining one thing: your attention.

Their origins are irrelevant and whether or not you view them as "Meaningless," they are distractions nonetheless. How much time we invest in them is contingent upon our very own motivating factors. Sometimes we have too much time on our hands and we accept the distractions as a form of entertainment. Even when we do not have a surplus of time, we continue to accept those "Meaningless Distractions" out of habit, thus validating their "meaningless worth."

What's most important to decipher is the impact of these "Meaningless Distractions." Are they disrupting your flow? Are they impeding upon your agenda? Are they negatively influencing your personal relationship(s)? Have you been labeled at the workplace simply by being "guilty of association?" If the answer to ANY of the aforementioned is YES, then those distractions have become "negatively meaningful." Their stock has risen due to YOUR investment.

Reassess and reevaluate your portfolio. Invest in "Truly Meaningful" relationships, companionships and friendships. By default all others will fall to the side and wither away permanently.

Distractions only have power when you empower them. Once you identify it as an unhealthy distraction then you act accordingly to avoid its empowerment. The circle of life cannot be ALL good or ALL bad. You have to maintain a balance. Distractions are allowed, it’s how you handle them is what is important. The Key: Stay focused on HIM and you can “walk on water”.
