Against the ropes, absorbing numerous body shots and blows, still standing, coherently aware of my surroundings. There is no referee in sight and my alleged opponent that should be standing before me is a fallacy to the nth degree. I refuse to rest on the canvas, not in fear of not being able to rise again, but because of the abundance of knowledge that the canvas is not where I rightfully belong. I will not rest where I do not belong, thus making it a place of residence, either temporary or permanent. I am Victorious in Christ Jesus! I claimed that Name and the body shots and blows came in ferocious fashion, aiming to decapitate my existence. However, I refuse to keep the company of the canvas, for it is beneath me, my feet, both literally and figuratively. I will not rest where I do not belong! I cannot quit the fight and I adamantly refuse to throw in the towel. The weapons formed, however, they did not prosper. Thanks be to God! My training camp consisted of actual combat in the form of on the job training. I have been beaten up, innocently punished and left for dead. However, I am coherent, aware, battle tested and prepared. I count it ALL Joy!
I am “Not Defeated!”
“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:2-4 NLT
